Baby Dedication!

Today was Kevin-Carlos' Baby Dedication! Cassi was even able to come all the way from Kentucky!
Owen had to get involved, Carlitos is his baby you know!
The party had a Fiesta theme, so there was a pinata for the kids.
The pinata proved to be made of some pretty tough stuff, so we eventually had to call in the big kids for help.
They finally broke through!
Owen was thrilled to find a Lego toy just for him in the pile of candy, since he can't have any of the candy. The other kids decided that this was an even better return on their investment than Halloween. They didn't have to walk as far and didn't have to knock on a single door and still came home with a huge bag of candy.
Uncle Ray and cousin Hudson
I can't believe how big Carlitos has gotten. Four months ago he was a 3lb 12oz preemie and now he's over 13lbs!
We tried to get a picture of Grandma and Grandpa with all the grandkids and great-grandkids (Ray's daughter Alex was the only one missing). Have you ever tried to get 12 kids all cooperating for one picture? Let's just say it took a few tries and we finally had to bring in Hudson's mommy to help.
Don't worry, there was a real photographer too. I'm sure some of her pictures are better than mine.
I had to get a Barkley picture because he's just so handsome! It was so nice to see everyone all together today to celebrate Carlitos' dedication!

Announcement Update! {Aug. 2014}

About a month ago, I made the announcement that we are expecting again in February. Today was my second prenatal appointment. Since we didn't get pictures this time (next time), you get to see some pictures of my last little baby instead.
Brenna was actually a very content baby which is why I had to get pictures when she did cry.
So, I've had really bad morning (noon and night) sickness this time. My current weight gain is still in the negative numbers which isn't entirely a bad thing since I tend to have large babies, but it's interfering with me eating a healthy diet so we decided to try a pharmaceutical option for clearing it up this time. I'm giving the insurance company a few days to decide if they will cover it, then I'll hopefully start on Monday. The main reason I decided to try medication this time is that my blood pressure is already climbing. I've had problems with preeclampsia before, but I'm usually able to keep it under control by following a strict high protein/ low carb diet. This time I've been too sick to eat that way and it seems to be a problem. Hopefully, if I can get the morning sickness under control, I'll be able to get the blood pressure under control too. In the meantime though, I earned myself a visit with the high risk nurse. I'll be taking my blood pressure twice a day and sending the results to her once a week for follow up. Unless I hit a certain threshold, in which case I'm to call in immediately.
Other than that, everything was good. Baby was being a bit uncooperative about letting us get a heartrate, but finally cooperated enough to tell us it was normal. My babies don't like the doppler and tend to run away from it. We get about 3 seconds of monitoring and then have to try a new location, over and over. I have to go in for a thyroid re-check in the next week but otherwise we're set until September 22nd when we will do our next ultrasound.

Photo Shoot!

Devon had a photo shoot with my three little ones today. Morgan wanted to wear her dress from Kristi and Simon's wedding two years ago. It still fits since I made it a size big and she only grows up. Owen barely fit into his pants, you can see how short they are. the shirt and vest weren't too bad though. The big surprise though was Brenna!
This is Brenna's dress from Kristi's wedding when Brenna was only a month old. I made the 0-3 month size which is supposed to fit 8-12 pounds. Obviously it's way too short now, but it still zips up!
This kids eats like an elephant and is still just tiny.

Guess who?!!

Guess who we got to play with today?
That's right! This little darling!

Can you believe he's 4 months old already? Only because he came 2 months early, but he's about the right size for a 4 month old. I can't believe how much he's grown!
And look at him now!

He weighs about half of what Brenna weighs now. I had to take some measurements for upcoming sweater knitting and Brenna now has an 18 inch chest and Carlitos has a 16 1/2 inch chest!
We finally had to say goodbye since he was getting a little tired, but didn't want to go to sleep with so much going on around him.
Grandbabies are so much fun! I can't wait to get more of them!
