There has been a long standing belief in the U.S. that larger families tend to have children with lower I.Q.'s , obviously the author of that book ( now debunked, by the way) never met Brenna.
I need to add to your story. (Hope I make sence as English is my 2nd language and I can not spell it very good) The thing about lower I.Q. in larger families is tjoll. I picked up that any child with siblings 5 years and older are very smart because they get there knowlage from the womb already. Brenna is just another proof. I totaly agree with you that gay did not know what he was talking about.
ReplyDeleteI think people will go to extreme measures to prove their own biases, even if they make no sense at all. The latest article I read says that children from large families have lower I.Q.'s because their parents have lower I.Q.'s which makes some sense. The implication however was that only dumb people would choose to have large families.
DeleteI have a little (foster) daughter the same age who sounds very similar to Brenna. We must never put them in a room together ;)

Two Brenna's would be dangerous! she is the cutest, sweetest, most mischievous little imp. We love her dearly, but if this is an indication of her future behavior we will definitely have our hands full. She figured out the child controls on the microwave this weekend! She can now turn them off and on at will.
